Taking your photograph and printing it to large scale canvas. Stunning results!   Outstanding quality Materials We print to woven 500gsm synthetic canvas, with a redwood frame. Large canvasses (in excess of 1m square) get internal cross bar support to prevent the canvas losenging or otherwise losing shape and integrity. Also, we use the traditional 'wedge' method, whereby wooden 'chocks' are inserted into the corners. Tapping these in stretches the canvas slightly, meaning that over time a Canvas Classic need never lose its tightness. Print Method Unlike some other print companies, we do not use inferior inkjet (the so-called Giclee method), but instead use dye-sublimation, where the ink is literally fused to the fabric, resulting in unmatchable longevity. Also, this means that it is 'continuous tone' printing, which looks much nicer than an image made up of half-tone dots. Manufacture All fabrication at contrado is done in-house. We are a family business and artwork, print, and fabricate everything under the roof of our premises in Ladbroke Grove, london.
